ASPENAIR’S FILTER GRILLE SYSTEMS ATTRACT GREEN BUILDERS AND CONTRACTORS
High efficiency, low energy consumption, and low static pressure viewed as “Honest Green”
Martinez, California-based AspenAir is pleased to announce that its Filter Grille whole-house air purification systems are attracting large numbers of distributors, contractors, and builders looking to take advantage of the growing number of consumers seeking green products and solutions.
Made of lightweight, durable plastic, AspenAir’s filter grille products are currently built in twenty-one sizes, weigh approximately 10 pounds or less depending on the size, operate on low voltage 24VAC, and can be installed in less than an hour. Maintenance entails simply replacing the disposable media every six months to a year, making it the easiest of all high-efficient electronic air cleaners to maintain to manufacturer’s specifications.
However, what is attracting the attention of the growing green segment is that AspenAir’s products are highly efficient 99% + to .1 microns, and 53% to .04 microns. This is because, unlike their competitors, AspenAir’s systems produce 24,000 volts of safe cleaning power, and they do this while consuming a mere 1.5 watts of power. Combine this with the fact that their systems operate at extremely low static pressure (.25 in. w.g. initial to 1 inch w.g.), and air handlers aren’t consuming large amounts of electricity to pull air through the filtration system, and you’ve got a very appealing, very green IAQ product to offer your customers.
This powerful combination of benefits has caused many builders and consumers to proclaim AspenAir’s systems as “Honest Green”. While some competitor’s products offer fairly high efficiencies, they also consume large quantities of electricity, and as these products load and static pressure increases, the electricity required to operate the air handler as it works harder to pull air through the filter can become extremely high. While the goal of the green movement is reduce the carbon footprint of the goods and services that we consume each day, the quest for high efficiency air filtration has oftentimes led to an increase in the carbon released into the environment. This prompted one leading green builder to say, “AspenAir offers MERV-16 equivalent levels of efficiency while consuming very little electricity. I’ve looked at everything on the market, and it simply doesn’t get any better than this. While many companies are trying overly hard to catch the green wave, AspenAir is already riding that wave, and they’re doing it honestly” He then added, “you (AspenAir) really should launch a campaign focused on the phrase “Honest Green”.
We think that’s a great idea.
