Our Power Grids are the first major technological breakthrough in electronic air filtration technology in over thirty years. They eliminate the need for ionizing wires, pins and metal plates.
Dirty air containing Respirable Suspended Particles (RSP) are pulled into the AspenAir via the central HVAC fan system.
Air flows through the non-metallic, highly conductive, MACON-D coated Power Grids and the particles are electronically charged and polarized as they enter the high-voltage electrostatic storm inside our patented media Ion Chamber.
Air and Particles enter the Bi-Polar Ion Chamber, where 24,000 Volts of opposite polarity is concentrated on the airflow, which charges and polarizes each particle, which become attracted to each other like magnets, and to the polarized filter media fibers.
The now larger particles are captured in the media and continue to attract and attach to other small particles (agglomeration). This explains why our system gets even more efficient as the media becomes more saturated with particles. The clean air leaves the Ion Chamber thru the oppositely charged Power Grid.
The clean air continues to be recycled through the home and back through the AspenAir system, providing continual scrubbing of the air with each pass.
